The unlimited love and always giving nature of a Mother… where does the path take her when the breadcrumbs have been eaten or blown away? The years of perfecting the role of a lifetime… it was never really perfection, but a constant watching of the weather. Enjoying the sunshine on a clear day, and waiting for the storm to blow over and hoping for a rainbow the next. Like a sailor with his telescope watching the sea, hoping to get a read of where the wind will take his boat. Some arrive safely to shore, but not always.
Just when she thinks she’s found the manual, or rather, written the manual, revisions come at a quick pace. Keeping up and trying not to fall behind, and yet… the hands holding onto the rope is slipping. Does she just let go? Maybe it’s time to let go. How much can the heart endure knowing that the rope is near the end? Time dwindles away with no rhyme or reason when a confusion is present.
Breathe. Take several… large… deep breaths… Think. The beautiful memories. A small hand holding a larger, safe hand. Showing the way… watching the weather together. Unlimited love… always giving… the path takes her to a lookout where she sees a rainbow over the horizon… TM ❤
When I find things in my surroundings that don’t quite match up to my purpose, sometimes it can throw me off balance. To find my center, I take a deep breath and embrace the negative energy. Yes, I really do.
But I am human, and frustration fills my perspectives before I see all angles. This is where deep breath number two comes in and calm and clear start to take over. With deep breath number three, the view becomes a question of why and the scenery starts to unfold.
Sometimes the anger we may feel or the misunderstanding that we think has happened looks very different when stepping back and seeing it through a different lens. How about seeing the situation through the eyes of love?
Silly, I know… but it really puts a new spin on a topic that at the time seemed unfavorable. Love has a way of guiding us to the truth. It just does. And the negative energy that kept me off balance? Gone. Poof. Maybe deep breath number four helped carry it away…
We all have them, you’re not alone. Some days are just… BLAH. It’s not that the day itself was bad, it’s not that anything really went wrong, it’s just that sometimes our energy is zapped up by those who may need it more than we do. The fact that we can help these people in that way, well, not everybody can do it. When days like this presents itself to you, after the depletion, it’s time to gather yourself and find your tranquil paradise.
Several deep breaths in a moment between hecticness (I think I just made up my own word?) works in a pinch, but sometimes we need much more than breath… we need to ground ourselves. Go outside, put your bare feet in the grass, close your eyes, and feel the earth beneath your feet. Take a deep breath, exhale… open your eyes, look around with a new perspective and look for a small joy that brings a sense of wonderment. Have you ever noticed that flower growing over there? Do you hear the bird chirping in a nearby tree? The clouds look so white…
There you go. You feel it? Your calm and your energy filling up your heart, your mind and your soul. ❤
So many changes, how does that make you feel? Yes, it is uncomfortable not knowing the outcome of these situations, so instead of replaying an unknown scenario over and over in our head, we need to breathe in deep and blow it out slowly. To dwell on and on about an unforeseen future only wastes time and energy and just makes for an uneasy rest of the day. I know you feel it, because I do too, so we must recognize this type of energy for what it is.
Change has a weird effect on people. Some are giddy, few are ready, while others turn away and if they could hide under the bed until it passes, that would be fine with them. To them I say, “Hang on tight and enjoy the newness. We would never know how rewarding or how satisfying change could be if it never occurred.”
Transition is a part of the change and it is difficult for some to internalize… internalize all we want, but change is gonna happen, ready or not. We need to think of change in a positive light so that we become excited, encouraged and ready for a new adventure. Good or bad, change is all in the way we view it, so we might as well take deep breaths, come out under the bed and ready ourselves for the inevitable…
