Speak Up

11018813_782830645167339_4865546701268565364_oOver the past few months, I’ve been learning that there are times when the written word doesn’t have the same impact as a speech.  To make eye contact with your audience and know that they are paying attention is something that I can’t track on this blog!  🙂

As much as I like to express myself here on this page, I feel alone in my thoughts.  It’s not a bad a thing… kind of like a public diary.  Hmmm… I’ve decided I like both.

The video below is my speech at the Laguna Beach March Against Monsanto Global Event.  If you are not familiar with this chemical company that now makes our food, maybe you look into it.  Peace, TM

Homework For the Day

The days of summer are right around the corner and the warm golden light calms our very core.

Go outside and refresh.

Go outside and take a deep breath.

Take your time and feel the tension of a human existence melt.  Try to remember the magic.  Magic you ask?  It’s in you, you just need to remember, even if you just catch a glimpse.

Reflect, look forward, and be thankful.  I’m off now… gotta go outside.  TM 🙂

Wake Up Sleepyhead

IMG_2222It’s an exciting time to look around and see all the open eyes that were once shut tightly.  The persistent gentle whispers from an awakened spirit leisurely floats the message to the ears of a sleepyhead.  “Time to wake up Lovely…”

Now, if we can just keep the eyelids from drooping closed, we shall succeed at what the true meaning of this life is really all about.  To fulfill a purpose, an intention that was made for you, by you, wether you know it or not.  We are all a piece of that puzzle, that when put together, each unique piece creates a seamless unit, a collective of beauty and serenity.

“With open eyes, we can clearly see the splendor and truth of all that is…”

Peace TM

Always Time for Positive Change

photoIt’s been a bit since my last post.  Time has a way of disappearing all too quick, and what’s supposed to be 24 hours in a day, feels like half of that.  Or maybe my point of view is skewed and I’ve got a case of my “eyes are bigger than my stomach,” but in terms of time.  Yes, that’s it.  Too many ideas, not enough time, and this blog has taken the backseat for those projects that are fighting for the front window.  Ahhhh life…

What are these big plans that are competing with my writing?  Social change.  The ability to make a positive difference in my community.  And guess what?  When we are able to focus on what we want to change for the better, anything is possible… that and a notebook!

If you’re interested in any of my other projects, you can find me on Facebook and YouTube trying to make purposeful change and inspiring others to do the same… with their own notebook.    TM

The New Awareness

photoHappy New Year!  Yes, I know, I’m a bit late… BUT, since this is my first post of the New Year, does that make me late?  I dunno, just thinking out loud.  🙂  I hope your holidays were meaningful and filled with joy.

Much has been happening in our global community since I last posted.  The politics from around the world all seem to have a similar theme; the very few elite against the rising voice of the masses.  Equality and the right to a healthy environment tops the list, and here in America, police brutality, unjust politics and Black Lives Matter end 2014.  I wonder if this is a start to a new awareness?

Here’s to open eyes and the courage to stand tall and speak loudly for 2015.  Peace TM
